What to Expect

What to Expect Before Your Visit

Once your appointment is confirmed, I will send your intake forms electronically through my secure, HIPAA-compliant patient portal.

To help us make the most of our time together, please try not to feed your baby within the hour before my arrival. This allows me to observe a feeding, if needed, and provide the most thorough assessment and support during our visit.

Please have any feeding items you regularly use available during the consultation, such as your breast pump, bottles, nipple shields, supplements, or baby carriers, in case we need to review them together.

I recommend dressing your baby in comfortable clothing that is easy to remove, which helps keep the consultation smooth and relaxed.

You may also find it helpful to write down any questions, concerns, or goals in advance so we can be sure to address everything that is important to you during our time together.

Our visit will be personal, supportive, and hands-on. Whenever possible, I will meet with you in the space where you most often feed your baby so that you and your baby can remain comfortable in a familiar environment.

What to Expect After Your Visit

After our visit, you will receive a personalized care plan outlining the recommendations, next steps, and feeding support tailored to your specific needs and goals.

If additional support is recommended, I may refer you to other healthcare professionals to help ensure comprehensive and well-coordinated care.

If needed, we can schedule a follow-up visit to monitor progress, answer additional questions, and make any necessary adjustments to your care plan.

Please keep me updated on your progress, any changes you notice, or any new concerns that arise. Ongoing communication allows me to provide the most thoughtful and responsive support possible.

If a new issue develops after our consultation, a full follow-up visit may be recommended so that I can assess the concern thoroughly and provide the most appropriate guidance.

If things are improving but you would like additional reassurance, we can also arrange a shorter follow-up visit or a weight and intake check.

My goal is to continue supporting you throughout your feeding journey with individualized care, guidance, and encouragement every step of the way.
